What is RF microneedling?
RF microneedling is a treatment that combines microneedling with the delivery of heat energy deep into the skin using radiofrequency waves. It is non-invasive and safe with little downtime.
The handpiece delivers heat to different layers of the skin through the microneedles and is able to treat a variety of skin concerns:
FACE
Anti-ageing: RF Microneedling is able to stimulate new collagen formation in the dermis. This improves skin thickness and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
Under-eye bags, nasolabial lines and marionette lines specifically see significant improvement with RF Microneedling treatment
Pigmentation: By treating the layer of the skin with melanocytes, we are able to reduce existing pigment and new pigment formation
Melasma and uneven skin tone see significant improvement with RF Microneedling treatment

Acne Scars: RF Microneedling is known as the 'scar eraser' as it is able to stimulate and remodel the collagen and elastin irregularities in depressed scars from injuries or acne. This is one of the most popular indications for RF Microneedling, after wrinkles.

Cellulite: RF Microneedling is able to target deeper fat for fat reduction, and stimulate collagen to smooth over the appearance of cellulite.
Stretch Marks are due to a thin, weak dermis layer, usually from rapid expansion of the skin in puberty, pregnancy or weight gain. RF Microneedling is able to target the dermis layer to stimulate new collagen, improve skin quality and reduce the appearance of stretch marks.
Loose Skin: Sudden weight loss, for example in post-pregnancy, rapid weight loss or liposuction, can cause loose skin. RF Microneedling can create tissue contraction (TIGHTENING) that treats the 'folds' commonly seen with loose skin.

What to expect?
A doctor will assess if this treatment is suitable for you.
Topical numbing cream is applied, and additional painkillers can be used to improve your comfort during treatment. We do not use sedation for RF Microneedling.
The treatment is performed in a 'stamping' method with the device and lasts around 30 mins for face to 45 mins for body treatments.
You may have redness post-treatment. This is expected and may last up to 48 hours.
You must avoid strenuous exercise for 72 hours and use sunblock for 2 weeks post-treatment.
You may use healing masks or stem cell skincare products to improve recovery and the final treatment outcome.
Treatments may be repeated 4 weeks later at the earliest until the desired result is achieved.
